Bathtub and Shower Grab Bar Installation

There are several considerations that must be made prior to installing grab bars. Positioning each grab bar at the correct height for the bathroom user to comfortably access them is critical.

If employed the grab bar will need to sustain the user’s body weight plus any momentum which means the grab bars must be correctly anchored to the wall supports.
Chair Height Toilets with Grab Bars
The installation of grab bars at the toilet is also advisable during the bathroom remodeling process. Depending on the height of the user, the installation of a chair height toilet or adjustable seat toilet may also be warranted. For ease of wheelchair and walker access into the shower enclosure we can include a ramp when installing the bathroom floor and shower tile.

Walk-in Bathtubs
A walk-in bathtub can go a long way to prevent slip and fall injuries in the bathroom. Getting in and out of the walk-in bathtub is no problem. Most even come pre-equipped with safety rails and non-slip floors.
